- Make sure your POs are effective with planning out each release and that the Product Backlog is kept up to date and scrubbed prior to each Sprint Planning. i.e. Does each User Story have priority, exit criteria, etc.?
- ScrumMaster needs to lead the team by steering, not debating with the team
- Right team size is important
- Was SM effective in facilitation or was the SM telling the team what to do and acting out as manager?
- Did the SM steer the team for more collaboration and communication?
- Were there Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews/Demo, and Retrospectives?
- etc.

You had the support of the big boss to go ahead with Scrum and that was more than most people wanting to adopt Scrum.

There are a number of failure modes for proper Scrum adoption and I cannot point out from what you mentioned in your article.

- With early adoption, you need on going mentoring and coaching<br
