Unexpected down time

Over the weekend, unexpectedly, the blog was not available for approximately 12 hours.
The reason was a problem in the blog database.
Thankfully it happened over the weekend and not during the week so the impact on readers was reduced.
The database issue has been addressed and the blog is up and running again.
